So much work so little time

It seems like all I do is work, work, and work I really have no time for anything else. I don't even have time to sit on my bed and watch one TV show. I know that all this work will pay off one day because being a teacher is a lot of work I may just want to give up but I know I am doing something that I love to do. This major is anything but easy and I wish people would realize this and give me a little more credit for the hours that I put into it. For now I can deal with the bags under my eyes and my lack of sleep because I know that in the end I will love what I do.

I understand
I know what you mean people are always saying to me that being a education major is so easy. Before I started college I believed but now it's a different story it's we're the only ones that understand. I don't even go in my room until it's time to go to bed and even then I sit up and think about what I have to do the next day. But I too know that it will pay off and I just can't wait.
I agree
It is so true that there is a lot of work that we do as teaching majors that many people never realize. But I agree that in the end it will pay off being able to help students learn and seeing the look on their faces knowing that your helping to make their future.
Yes
It does go with the job, but I do feel that teachers should be given a little more respect than the amount we are given. It seems as if teachers are just put here to say they have a occupaation in some places. We should be given a little more credit.
It goes with the job
I agree with what you are saying. Being a teacher is a 24/7 commitment. Even though you may be stressed and overworked while not being commended on it you are when you see the faces of your students learning something that they have never known before. When you see that glow in their faces...that is when you realize that what you have been doing; the less amount of sleep, not watching your favorite tv show really pays off and you are greatful that you did use your time for something more productive that makes a difference in our society.
