Putting Classes Online with Moodle
Are you putting your courses online using Moodle? (You should be.)
Do you want to trade ideas, success stories, tricks, frustrations, glories? (Why wouldn't you?)
In the next ten years, listing your regular class online will become the norm in education in the United States. The advantages are legion: no lost assignments, automatic grade calculation, online student discussions, all of it permanently archived online for easy referral.
Talk about transparency. Listing your course online is the only safe, secure, honest way to teach in the 21st century. IMHO. Monday, my college writing class is starting. Do I have to worry about finding my syllabus? Pulling out my files? Looking for particular assignments? Setting up my gradebook?
No. I don't. And why not? My class is all ready to go, because I put it online last year. Just a few clicks away I can start to put it out to this fall's students. Unbelievably easy, convenient and safe. You won't understand how you waited so long...
This is the place to talk about teaching online with Moodle.
