homework
I belive that kids today have to much homework. i see it with my little brother who comes home from school with 3 hours of work each day. this is just too much in my opnion. i do think practice at home is a good thing but the amout seems to be growing faster and larger by the year. just ten years ago i could get my hw done in an hour and i was on top of my work. i just dont think more work necessarly means better results.

Homework, Classwork, It's All Work
I understand that some children are getting a lot of homework but just imagine how it is in class. Some teachers usually do nothing but give out worksheets and will go over with it with their students in class, only to give them another worksheet similar to that for homework. What happened to hands-on experiences, I mean conducting and performing things that are highly enlightening and invigorating. I wish classwork was not work but called classlearning because that is the reason why children attend school, not to work in a sense but to learn.
you are right
It is true practice makes perfect, but a child cannot hold an attention span and actually absorb what they are doing for 3 hours! especially after being IN school all day long. Children get stressed out just as much as adults and just as easily. This effects mental health, mood, and takes away from a kid being a kid. children need time to goof off, relax and play. If they didn't do this they wouldn't be kids!
