Friendly Teacher

This is my first blog. I am a Sophomore at East Carolina University. I have always wondered how teachers are friends to their students, but at the same time the boss. I have had some awesome teachers in the past because they were so friendly. I was just wondering how teachers make their classroom fun and enjoyable while still being the role model in the classroom?

My Opinion
I often wonder the same thing. Although I can only remember one “good” teacher I have had, she was very fun and entertaining. But after thinking about it she also was very stern and interactive in the classroom. She was the nicest lady ever but if you acted out in class or didn’t do your homework she would be very disappointed in you. She almost made people feel guilty for not striving to do their best. I think in order to be a “good” teacher but still be in control, you have to be able to allow your students to see your passion for teaching and show them how much it means to you that they succeed. A lot of times children just need someone to believe in them and give them a chance to prove their self-worth.
