Know Thyself

How does one go about leading others to become leaders?  It takes conscientious observation and quite a bit of caring for those other than yourself, but it also takes knowing exactly who you are.  Technically we're all subject to change so you can't "exactly" know yourself, but to know you're aims, your perogatives and to know your flaws is a necessity.  Students know when you're being truthful with yourself, when you look in the metaphysical mirror and see no distortion.  It's an odd nack of youth to be able to intrinsically identify such things.  As a postive rolemodel, you can move others in a positive direction.

the stigma of learning

As students, future teachers, or currently employed teachers, we've all encountered the feeling that children hate school.  Why are children in school, for what purpose, to what aim?  They may be too young to formulate these questions that we will face on a daily basis.  Are we teaching for their benefit towards a later work force or are we teaching so they can become well-rounded individuals in an intelligent society?  I personally never understood why my peers didn't want to learn the material.  Sometimes I agreed in the boredom of the topic, but the anti-intellectual stigma pervaded no matter how interesting the topic was or how enthusiastic the teacher was.  How do we combat the ever-present non-physical demon that holds bar over children today?  I hope to overcome su
